Neosporin for pimple marks?

So I got a regular but a little larger pimple on my cheek and usually my pimples will be red and bumpy then go away but this one turned dark like almost purple. I didnt pop it or even do anything to cause it to be that way. Will neosporin work to have this heal faster? Its dried up as well, only has a little bit of bumpiness to it.
 
I believe neosporin will work only if the pimple pops. It will help it heal better.
 
For pimples/cysts that leave dark marks, my facialist told my to get a prescription for hydroquinone (sp?), a cream that is supposed to help fade spots and help heal. I can't afford prescriptions because I don't have insurance, but I got a product called Porcelena that has the hydroquinone as an ingredient. So far I really like it for the post-marks. I am using neosporin right now for a huge cyst right between my eyes (so erabarrassing!), but i'm using that because it's a little raw and neeRAB to heal.
