Thanks you for the comments.

About the noises legislations, they exist, but we want to avoid it becoming something too big. We don't wantr to involve police, I guess because we are nice and we like to avoid people trouble.

Really, we taught that talking to them like civilized people, they would undesrtand, maybe not agree with us, but just listen and try to find an arrangement.
We know is hard to isolate noises in this kinda of buildigs, but well doing your laudnry machine 3 or 4 times a week at 2am .. well... they could make an effort.

I know, on weekdays we get up early, on weekends it's different, and I said arround 8, sometimes it's earlier. The problem is not only the mornings but above all, at night, since we get up early, we go to sleep early. And according to our legislations, loud noises are not "legal" after 10 pm.

Because we are not the only ones complaining, and because here people write letters before confronting face to face.

We'd like to know.. we hear a lots of noises, like if you drop a large metallic ball and kept it rolling, or like if you were dragging something heavy and metallic. Sometimes it's a thumping, others opening and closing doors etc.

As I said before, there is no landlord, because the different apartments belong to different people, and we have no "ruling person".
We have to deal with them directly, but if you had seen the tone of the letter, it was almost a physical threat, you might think it's cowardice, but we don't want any trouble.

And as I said, there is no use in talking to them... they'll just say it's not their problem and If we insist too much I'm afraid they could do us real damage, to our apartment and our stuff, or even ourselves.

So... we "duck and cover" ... but if the noise keeps going on for too long, I guess we will insist and continue with the legal consequences. We hope it won't come to that.
