I have been complaining for months now to my mom that I feel constantly tired. The thought of getting of the couch and doing something is just awful. I had always been a very active person. Then about a month ago I went to the gyno for a yearly exam. When I was there my doctor told me that my thyroid felt enlarged. She had me get an ultrasound and blood work. They found that I have a cyst on my thyroid but they said I do not have hypothyroidism. Why am I still always tired? I have other symptoms such as irregular menstrual cycles (I was put on birth control for this about 2 years ago), brittle nails, and I'm always cold! Also, my mom has hypothyroidism. I don't know if its hereditary or not. Any info or insight for me?
