Negative Debate arguments: Why shouldn't the government put more money into

preventing teen pregnancy? Tomorrow, I have an in-class debate against an affirmative team. I already know that they are going to run teen pregnancy. But the problem is that I can't find evidence on why we shouldn't put more money into preventing teen pregnancy. Anyone have links to articles that say why we shouldn't put more money into it?

The resolution statement:
Resolved: The US federal government should substantially increase social services for persons living in poverty in the United States.
Forgot to mention that many teens who are pregnant are in poverty. Basically the affirmative needs to prevent more teens to become pregnant and live in poverty.
 
A few arguments you could throw out there...

-Should tax payers be forced to pay for other people's mistakes?
-Why is it the publics responsibility? (is it a private matter rather than a public problem)
-What about married teens who choose to have children young?
-Can we prove that more money will decrease teen pregnancy? If so, how?
-Is there evidence that government money (ie: welfare) has actually contributed to teen pregnancy? (study the welfare reform Clinton brought during his presidency with the rates of teen pregnancy & see if there is any correlation)

why is the answer always to throw money at something to solve a problem.

parents responsibility for their teens
