i'm planning on working out of the USA for about two years starting next spring. right now, i'm at the end of my year long contract with T-Mobile, so i'm not opposed to finding a new carrier.
here are my requirements:
GSM (tri or quad band)
candy-bar form factor
bluetooth
email
small
long battery life
durable
i've had a SE T610 for the last 18 months, and it's worked fairly well for me, but the signal strength was always a bit of an annoyance for me. also, some of SE's customization has been a little annoying (won't list them here) and i've been missing the motorola phones i've had.
this has led me to only one phone i've really liked: the Motorola SLVR L7.
what i don't much like is that it's only available on cingular. i had cingular for 6 months in 2003 (granted, that was before they switched to GSM) and the service area was so terrible, that i quit and switched to Nextel (which i also quit one year later, since i needed a GSM phone).
so, i'm looking for suggestions for other phones that meet my requirements, or even comments on current service with cingular.
thanks a ton!
