Hi im looking into buying a average sound system to put into my old POS blazer. I would like to get a decent sound system but im not into the huge sound system. Some of my friends have like 2 10'' subs which seem to sound pretty good to me which i wouldn't mind getting. Could someone help me understand if a 10'' sub is stating that it puts out 800 watts each...would you have to have a 1600 watt Amplifier to power them? Also would the head unit have to be a superb head unit that could also put out it's own watt power or would it just have to be average and good enough to send the signals to the amplifier. Any help would be appreciated...o and also yes i can have it installed between my family and friends that have installed there own im just looking for other help on these topics. Also plan on taking the system out once i join the military and buy a newer car to put it in. Also if it's not really hard to do, i have friends that are in wood shop that could probably make sub boxes some of them have.
