Needing Help Setting Up Home Network?

I have a home network that I've been working on for the past day or so. So far I have it working, but I'm trying to enhance it so that I can use my wireless router as a hub and have my modem and laptop(s) in direct connection (only wirelessly). The only reason I need to do this is because I have a few systems that I run between my computers and they do not like private IP addresses. Therefore I need a way to disable DHCP on my wireless router, have all my computers running on the Internet and to show my public IP address when I check ipconfig on Command Line. I'm sure I'll have to set up some static IP addresses, but I've been overloaded with so much information at the moment, I'm not sure which way to go with it. So if you can lead me to a step-by-step way (pretty much idiot proof) or describe a way to do it, that would be wonderful. I have Windows 7 on every computer as well.
