Since yesterday afternoon, I've been having this sharp pain in my right side. It started out a few inches under my ribs & then moved down a little. It doesn't hurt until I touch it & when I do, it feels like a pinch. It feels like it's right underneath the skin. I've looked up the pain on the Internet & it's all telling me apendicitis, but I don't have most of the symptoms, just the pain. I worked myself into a slight fever last night (99.1 F), but this morning when I woke up, I was back to a normal temperature. I don't hurt if I move, cough, sneeze, laugh, or even lay on that side, just when I touch it. My mother suggested it might be a pulled muscle & my friend thought it might be gastritis. I've been trying to get a hold of my friend who has had her apendix burst, but it's not working, which is why I'm asking here. Does anyone know what this might be? Or know what I should do?
