Need Wireless WIFI Help :)

Hey guys, i'm stuck down in San Antonio/Tampa Area in FL, with no way to get online. Im thinking my best option is getting one of the wifi cards from the wireless companies like vz/sprint etc... I was hoping you guys could give me some info, to whichever is the best and whatnot. I only need it for 3 weeks, and i have TMO already so i figure i wont need another contract or whatnot. Is it unlimited or capped transfers? Like i want to be able to go online, play xbox and whatnot. Thanks inadvance

PS: I cant get any WIFI signals, there is none around here so I definatelly need one from the wireless company that uses the wireless signal or however it works lol
 
A wireless card is just like adding a phone - 2 year contract etc. Plus they are expensive for just 3 weeks.

Verizon/Sprint would be better, speed wise, that Cingular or T-Mobile. EV-DO approaches broadband speeds, 700 kbps up to 1.2 mbps, when you are in EV-DO coverage. Verizon's coverage is better than Sprints but I would assume in those 2 cities both would be acceptable, but you need to check it out yourself first. GSM (T-Mo and Cingular) air cards currently crawl along at 70-80 kbps up to a max of 235 kbps. I have a Verizon air card for my laptop. Unlimited data is $60 a month.

You might want to try tethering your cell phone to your laptop, but my guess is that it wil be pitifully s-l-o-w.
