NEED URGENT HELP FROM FISH EXPERT?

at home i have a 3 ft fish tank. in it, i hav goldfish, mollies, platties, guppies, neon tetras and an electric yellow. in the last 2 days, 5 of my guppies have died. as they die, their bodies go into weird spasms. just then i went into the tank, and saw a tiny Little cone shell on the bottom of my tank... there is no possible way that it got in their so how is it in their? and is it the thing that has been killing my guppies?
 
NO that cone shell isn't killing the guppies here is what could be wrong:
-Electric Yellows are cichlids that kill guppies
-Mollies can be aggressive which can also hurt guppies
-Goldfish produce way too much ammonia to be with any of those fish making the guppies die
-Goldfish are the only coldwater fish so I'm assuming you don't have a heater and guppies get very sick in cool tempatures but if you do have a heater than the goldfish will die

The one shell is probably a hitchhiking snail they usually come with live plants but I sense no threat with the shell I sense you are killing your fish
 
No, the cone shell is probably a Malaysian trumpet snail. It could've hitchhiked in on some live plants if you have them, or even with the fish, especially if you dumped the bag of water containing the pet store water into your tank. Malaysian trumpet snails aren't bad, and they generally hide in the substrate during the day and come out when the lights are out, so that would explain why you haven't seen it.

Fish having spasms sounds like some kind of poisoning or irritant, and especially with them dying off so quick as well. Are you using a dechlorinator to remove chlorine/chloramines from your tap water? Did you do a water change and then notice the symptoms? I would suggest checking your ammonia and nitrite levels as well, make sure both are reading 0 ppm. Those can also irritate the fish and cause them to have spasms as you describe.

As you can see, a 3 foot long tank can be a 30 gallon long, a 40 gallon breeder tank, or a 50 gallon.
