So i am just looking for some to work this problem out i already did it but it seems that i got strange answers
you start out with 1.01g of Al and you need to figure the theoretical yield of Alum (2KAl(SO4)2*12H20) given the following net ionic: 2Al+2KOH+22H2O+4H2SO4--->2KAl(SO4)2*12H20+3H2
Then figure the percent yield if you got 4.25g of alum
I think i got the correct answer but this is from an old lab i am making up thanks for your help (mainly im not positively sure how to handle the hydrate in terms of the mollecular wieght of alum?)
