Need to know whether to buy? Ford Ranger?

Its a 1995 Ford Ranger with 150k miles. In decent condition. This will be used as a first vehicle for me. Just to go to and from work. The asking price is $1500 but was going to offer 1200. Money is tight. What do you think, could i get a year out of this vehicle without too much put into. Thanks
 
I think you will get more than a year out of it. I have a old truck I bought in that year and price range 3 years ago and it is still running. Even the air still works.
