Need to know about rev meter on 2000 Dodge Intrepid!?

um the rev meter would b the tachometer........but i assume u meant the rev limiter........and yes u can with software to reprogram the computer......u can also remove the speed limiter and adjust the timing the fuel pattern ect........
 
We need to know if we can eliminate or improve the rev meter on a 2000 Dodge Intrepid. We are thinking of turning it into a race car, but the rev meter kicks in to soon and ruins its performance. Can anyone tells us if there is a way to increase it or if removing the rev meter would be a problem.
