...tips and tricks! Thanks? I am planning on going on Semester at Sea (Spring 2011), and it is a bit more expensive than an out of state tuition at the the Univ of Iowa.... I need to come up with around $9,000 to cover the difference as my parents are only going to pay what they pay a semester for Iowa. I do not believe I qualify for financial aid by need- but I am still going to apply. I don't know much about financial aid. I do know however, that I really do not want to take out loans- looking to do this by random and merit scholarships, as well as grants....
Does anyone have any tips, suggestions, tricks of the trade? Or any other ideas? I know I have some time to do this, I really want to go and thus want to get on top of the extra finances early.
