Customer service representatives do not hold the ability to transfer you to one specific representative. They can get you to their supervisor or tech support...but unless "Aiden" answers the phone, you won't be able to get a hold of him.

Also, I'm not sure how you have this service on your line, but I even checked my sources to verify and there is no such thing as "nuisance blocking"...sorry.

It seems like not all Verizon CS reps know about this. Initially yesterday I called to see if blocking was available and the lady I talked to said that there is no way for Verizon to block numbers, and that one solution would be to change your tel #. After thinking about it overnight today I called back to change my number and was told that Verizon CAN block up to 5 numbers free of charge. You can add or change the numbers if you want. Your sources probably are not aware of this. Check again. I blocked my home # and tried calling my cell and it works.

Please don't link my posts to me being a moderator here on the site. They are two different unrelated things.

I have been a Verizon Wireless employee for 8 years until recently when I decided to switch to a testing and development center for wireless here.

I did check with Verizon Wireless, several of my previous coworkers, as well as our systems here where I work. All of the Verizon Wireless employees said it was impossible while my server says it is possible to block one number with a law suit against that person.

Its not only VW that is having these Issues. ATT also cannot block any numbers from calling, Unless you have the program called Smart Limits, It can block up to 15 numbers with them. I dont know of ANY company that can block a single number.

Exactly! I am sure, in the near future, they will have a cool, easy to use feature which will allow you to block numbers on your own.

I have already heard of this feature in the works.

Yes Verizon can block numbers...but the number that original poster is wanting to block cannot be blocked, international numbers cannot be blocked.

There's an application for Verizon phones called "Do Not Disturb" that lets you block as many numbers as you want, as well as set up times when you don't want calls. You can also use it to block restricted numbers (telemarketers!!!). The best thing I like is that you can edit the list of numbers right on your phone, so it's really a lot less hassle once you've got it installed.

Only problem is that it does cost money but hey I think it's pretty useful

You can get it by texting "dnd" to "apps" (363 to 2777) or visit mydonotdisturb.com ... you can also find it in the blackberry app store, and in Get It Now / Media Center

Hope this is helpful!!
