Need tips to choreograph a lyrical solo for audition.?

I have to do a solo for an audition and i'm not a good choreographer. i'm thinking of a jazz dance to tough love by Christina Aguilera or a lyrical dance to jar of hearts by Christian Perri.
Tips on better choreography?
