Need the latest and greatest!

My business is starting to take off and I have plenty of money to spend. We're looking for the latest and greatest smartphones offered so we can do our business around the nation. It needs to have a fast internet connection, reliability, good battery life, and loads of features. Which carrier/phone should I get? What do you guys recommend?

Thanks!

Right now, Verizon has the most widespread wireless broadband with thier EVDO, but the do charge accordingly.

Cingular actually has a higher bandwitdh Broadband system (3.5G HSDPA) but they are only out in major metropolitan markets. The pricing is a little better considering you can get close to DSL speed wirelessley on 3.5G.

I don't think Cingular has a 3G PDA/Smartphone yet, but they should be out soon. The do have some 3G wirless PCMCIA cards though.

i like how the sony ericsson p990i looks....what provider can i activate this phone with? I also like the nokia e61, but it looks a bit too wide for my taste. seems to be packed with features though.

as for verizon, that's the carrier I'd be most interested in, as they seem to have the best reception, in my experience with it. however i wouldn't mind cingular, they seem to have good plans and that 3.5G sounds nice.

what do you guys think about the treo 700w/p? worth it? or are these other phones better?

Palm Treo is pretty solid for both w and p. The windows Mobile version can do more things but is more prone to crashing. The Palm version is more stable and has a simpler interface but is not as fully-featured as the Windows Mobile. Both shoulf have push e-mail capability though similar to Blackberry.

Verizon is a great carrier in terms of network, but lacks in terms of phones and PDAs because they are CDMA and cannot take advantage of all the GSM world phones out there, plus you cannot switch between two or more phones via SIM card.

They also tend to cripple the functionality of the majority of thier phones (such as bluetooth OBEX for file sharing) so most of thier customers have to pay them to get content on the phone like MP3s and videos and even moving pics off some of thier phones because they don't have a wired cable transfer option and they have to go though wireless e-mail.

Cingular will eventually come out with the Treo Nitro and the Treo Lennon, both are antenaless versions of the Treo the Nitro is supposed to have 3.5G.

Basically if you have 3.5G from Cingular in your area, I recommend going to them, if not then Verizon is probably your only other choice for Wireless broadband.

Thanks for your comments mobileobsession. I think I will go with Cingular as my provider. As for 3.5G, does the phone need to be 3.5G capable as well? I really like the HTC TyTN...anyone know if that has 3.5G? Or if it will even work with Cingular? Thanks for your help guys.
