need technical help to upgrade my car audio system?

Ok so now I want to upgrade my car's old audio. I was able to replace the old stock speakers and head unit, which is fine for a while but now I want to go "stronger". Yes I would like to be heard from the distance but still have clear sound.

should I have two amps? one for 2 subwoofers and another for the other 4 speakers (+ 2 tweeters)? should i use a crossover? capacitor? I've seen diagrams that show "power block", "ground block"??

I've seriously considered doing the "big 3" since my car is very old ('89 camry) and the electrical system has been very tampered with.

Any help or ideas?
can someone also help on:

rms?
pmpo?
ohms?

and what they do or work on a car audio system?

thanks.
