I'm looking for a new cell phone and I just don't stay up on these things, so I just don't even know where to start looking.
First off, I use Cingular, so that might narrow it down a little.
My budget is probably ~$200 at the most, although obviously I wouldn't mind spending less.
I don't use the phone for business or as my regular home phone, so I guess I would describe myself as a relatively light user.
I don't think I would use bluetooth, a camera, video, internet access, e-mail, etc. So that stuff isn't very important to me. I would like a speakerphone so I can use it in the car without holding it to my ear.
I do carry my phone in my pocket, so something relatively small and flat is important to me. Maybe a slider or flip phone. Something nice and flat like a Razr would probably work better than the candy-bar shape phones. If it's a flip phone, it would be nice to be able to see the time and who's calling without flipping it open.
What I would like is something simple to use (good interface), rugged/well built, good sound quality, good reception, and cool looking would be nice. Oh yeah, and a speakerphone. I have no brand preference.
So let's hear some suggestions!
