Need someone in Cricket area, READ

Growing Times..

Ok, so i'm within Cricket's calling area, but we officially do not "have"
cricket around here... is their any way i can still get cricket service, maybe
tell them i live in an area elsewhere?

I would go metropcs but i'll never get my esn reg'd with them :<

SO, I would like to pay someone that has an extra ANYTHING phone laying around to setup whatever it's free setup online, and according to the rep
during chat, no address is needed, but it has to be setup (activated / first call) from one of the "home" areas, but can be used in the extended area
unlimited after that. :buddies:

So my plan is as follows:

You, activate anything you have laying around. Me pays all the stuff online, and pays you for the 5 minutes of time and handing over the login info. Then,
I plan to change the phone to my verizon blitz, and deal with it from there.

Anybody? (also if you know a way around this, or if the guy on the website was just ********ting me)

you shoultn't really need to *228 as long as you can hand program the mdn/min and prls into the phone

the problem you are going to run into is if you intend to use anything besides text and voice you will not be able to use it while in the metro area if your service is through cricket...

I'm sure you could find a dealer on here who could sign you up...

He's in a Metro area, so it'd be unlimited talk and text, no chance of WAP or MMS. To me, this idea sounRAB pretty awesome/genius. How funny would it be if the people in every Metro market preferred Cricket and took this route? Haha...

No, metro accepts only the "houdini" list of phones, which is lame
unless you own a samsung / LG.

The only problem is, when I put the cricket PRL on my blitz, to dial *611
and setup the account, the 1040 PRL is non-roaming, AND I don't even
know if you can do that from the extended coverage area.
Another thing, I just have to get the 50 or 60$ plan, and I can roam
in the extended calling areas all I want to.
I even went so far as to look up another zipcode and I had a whole
locked down story for the cricket support, but the customer service lady
informed me that in order to setup a non-cricket phone on the plan, I
must go into the store and signup...

I may call back and try again though. If someone here is a cricket reseller or
something that would be nice, as all you'd have to do is put cricket on your
NAM2, and have me fit the bill for activation, then tell them to put that account on my ESN and me + any extended / roaming PRLs = win.

Also, you can still get wap in the cricket extended areas, not sure about
anything else.

If anyone has a better way about going about this, be my guest...

Thanks, "He", btw.

I will seriously pay someone for all of 4 minutes of their time to do this.
:help: :help: :help:

All you'd really have to do is switch nams, hit *611, and boom.

Does anyone know if cricket has resellers? I could just call one of them,
I checked google but nothing came up?

2 things.

1) I believe all ported nurabers have to be local. I don't think you can port a 619 area code to a 850 area code (CA - FL)

2) MetroPCS does take foreign ESN's if you visit the forum there are people there adding them to the inventory manually.

Yeh, except that i have zero corp. metro stores here, and the guy on here
wants 80~$. I'd rather switch the stickers on the phones before i would
try that highway robbery.

switching stickers on a phone is illegal and as such can't be discussed on this forum.

there are people adding esn's for free in the metropcs area's, visit that forum and look around.
