present.....What are they hiding? Ok, so my longtime girlfriend (7 years), started to develop a slight abdominal pain, lower, sort of near her hips around the end of june of this year, 2010. sometime around mid july she started vomiting everything she ate and drank. it finally got so unbearable in pain, (and abnormally large. [you could see it protruding slightly from her stomach below and left of her belly button]) that she decided to go to the E.R. on August 3. The doctor described it as an ulcer, and prescribed prilosec 40 mg and lortab 5 mg. September 3rd, shes still in pain, that seems to get worse at times, the lump in her stomach has grown slightly larger in size, and she still throws up everything that she eats or drinks at least 3 times daily (and working full time i might add) she goes back to the E.R. and the same doctor prescribes nexium, sucroflate, and protonix. The next day she has a scheduled appointment with her gynecologist and he immediately schedules her to get a scope and mri done. they found some inflammation and the ulcer that is causing the inflammation. So he admits her to the hospital. After nearly 3 weeks, and 3 biopsies, a feeding tube that she kept throwing up, and a ton of unanswered questions, they ruled out cancer, and couldnt think of anything else it could be, and said that this was just an ulcer 3 mm in size that is causing the stomach to inflame.yesterday, september 20th, after failing with the feeding tube multiple times, there is no other choice but surgically removing the inflammation. After the surgery, the surgeon informed our family that he found a mass of cancer below the inflammation ( that they missed with a scope twice, multiple MRI's, and 3 biopsies). He went ahead with the removal of the cancer, her lymph nodes, over half her stomach, and part of her intestines. And now she's in so much pain she can't even lift her eyelids or talk.
I'm just wandering what the hell is going on here? What did the doctors not do? What happened in the initial E.R visit when she told the doc she was vomiting everything, and he prescribes her pills that she can't hold down? And then why did he do it again a month later, but give her pain pills on top of it? What can i do here? This is definitely not right. Please help me out. We are both 25 years old, with a 14 month old little boy. I've never heard of anything like this before, and would like to stop this idiot dr. before he harms anybody else
