Need some info please!!

Hello everyone. My name is mark. And i could use some info please. I just got my frist bike. It is a 2006 Suxuki S50 Boulevard 800. And it only has 2396 miles on it. But the other day when i was rideing it. I could hear the vavles chatering when i would be in 4th and 5 gear. So is there anything i can do for it? Thank you!!

It needs a valve adjustment. Normal procedure for the zuki. 800's. Were they ever done? I believe the 1st service would include this adj. if it was ever serviced at all. Others will chime in soon.

Find out all the information concerning the maintenace of this bike if possible and if needed get the 1st service done. Manual calls for the 1st service at 600 miles. This includeds value adjustment. Some will say it is not needed until later. My thinking was better safe then sorry so I had mine done on the 1st service as stated in the manual.

Are you sure it was the valves? Eliminate the other things first. Put your hand on the gas cap, a notorious source of noise many have mistaken for valve clatter. The headlight is also a source of clatter- reach up and put a hand on that also. These are things that can be fixed for free, so check them first.
