Need some help with input methods on Droid X!!!

I want to set it so any time I look up a contact, whether it be in contacts, new emails, new texts, etc... it is always set on multi touch input. Even if I have it set to swipe other places. Swype is so annoying when looking up contacts and the keyboards works much better.

Any chance this can happen? Is there an app that can do it?
 
To change the input method you just long press the text field and it should come up with a menu, in the menu it should say "input mehod". It will only allow one input method be selected due to security concerns of keyloggers, etc...
