Need some GPS recommendations... please?

My husband just got a job working for AAA. The truck they gave him has a GPS unit in it, but it only searches by addresses. Nine times out of ten he needs to find a highway and has no address to enter. What are some good GPS units that will search for a street, intersection, or Highway. Are there any where you can just type "I90S" and have it show you how to get to the interstate?

Sorry for my ignorance, I've never had a GPS unit before.
 
Tom tom lets you input an intersection of any two roads. I am not sure if Garmin does the same. I dont think any unit will just let you input a highway, the input needs to be a specific point.
