Need some films recommendations please

Hello

me and the hubby love to watch films especially now as I am 37 weeks pregnant and in bed most nights for 8 :D so its nice to cuddle up and watch a film.

I am looking for scary films but not gory ones, like a bit or suspense and imagining more than seeing. Everything seems to be about the gore ans shock value just now and that just doesnt do it for me...
also thrillers where there is the twist at the end!

Was recommended Shutter Island and Paranormal Activity but was left disappointed by both.
And watched Paintball last week which was awful lol.

Any films you guys have watched that think fits with what I like and would recommend?? Thanks :)

Have seen Memento, its a great film!! Loved it.

Another film someone recommended was The Machinist but I found that very slow.

Im not sure if I have seen Dawn of the dead or not, will have to go and read a bit about it and see if I recognise it.
 
The final destination movies. A bit scary but entertaining. There are 4. They are showing the 4th one on the movie channel now. The first two would be reccomended to watch together as it has a crossing character and storyline but the 3rd and 4th don't really have a connection.
 
Congrats on the pregnancy :) I would say watch Pans Labyrinth really good film i found it quite scary but there are some great character's and its a really decent story highly recommend :)
 
The Devil's Backbone also fits into the "creepy, not gory" category. I think Del Toro describes it as a "spiritual prequel" to Pan's Labyrinth. Both very good films.

I used to like a bit of gore but I dont know if its pregnancy thats done it or im just more sensitive in my old age ....but I cant stomuch much these days, I couldnt sleep for 2 nights after just reading about the human centipide :o:D
