I have been having some symptoms lately that have been affecting my life at work, school, and home and need some advice on what might be wrong.

I am 32 years old and have been having significant problems. Here are the details.

Lifesyle Changes:

1. Drank excessively from age 21-31 about 3-5 beers a night 7 days a week.
2. Stopped drinking on July 20, 2008 for 6 weeks to allow ulcers to heal.
3. Had endoscopy on 9/25/08 that revealed I have 3 ulcers.
4. I chew tobbaco.
5. Now drink one day a week 3-5 drinks.
6. Taking Nexium and Centrum Vitamins

These started 2-3 weeks ago and have gotten progressively worse.

Symptoms (in order of severity)

1. Severe Fatigue
2. Lack of Motivation
3. Anxiety
4. Always SignificantlyCold (Especially Hands) but sweating.
5. Random Night Sweats (Soaked with Sweat) 2-3 nights a week.
6. Numbness/Pins and Needles in Right Hand
7. Rare Right Should Pain (This may be muscular)
8. Chest Pain a couple times a day (Usually 1-2 seconds) both right and left sides.
9. Occasional pain in back when breathing deeply.

I work a desk job and do not get much physical activity. I work full time and am completing a masters degree program as well. Life is stressfull but no more so than before I started getting these symtoms.

I had an ecocardiogram 2 years ago for chest pain and an X-Ray that showed nothing both tests came back normal.

I appreciate any advice.

Some of your symptoms could be side effects of Nexium. Look it up. You didn't mention your BP. Nexium can cause your BP to rise and cause back pain. I would suggest you stop "chewing" and drinking any alcohol. They also raise BP and aren't good when you have ulcers. Some of what you are experiencing could also be anxiety related. I am surprised they didn't give you something stronger for your ulcers. You are still very young and have a chance to heal yourself before permanent damage is done. Take care.

You could try aciphex ( i use it) for your stomach. Just to deltee side effects possibilities. I am going to tell you what i learned. These lovely stomach medicines ( i have been on it for 12 years) cause vitamin deficiencies. They are now making suppliments if you take the stomach stuff. Also, check your b12 levels. It is a quick bloodtest. I get shots now. Apparently without the acid certain vitamins can not be absorbed. NOONE told me that. Then i went to a motility stomach hospital and they told me. When you dont feel good as well.. i think its natural to get anxiety. It stinks but i think pain and anxiety tend to chase each other. It feels like the average person does not get that. Doctors are different today then they were years ago. They do not care as much and just want to move to the next patient. I think that in itself is stress producing!! I am sure you know tobacco is unhealthy..it is also a really strong addicition and a little hard to quit in the height of not feeling well. If you can i would suggest a little excersice. 20 min a day if you can.Drink more water and hopefully your circulation will improve and it cant hurt. There is no QUICK fix...be patient

Once again, I'm agreeing with rudiraven here...but I would like to add that in addition to possible nexium side effects (which can interfere with the absorption of nutrients), I suspect your alcohol intake has contributed to malnutriton.

Advice?? Stop drinking and chewing and see a Registered Nutritionist...that damage you have done over a lifetime may take more than a few supplements to fix.
