Need questions to ask voice actor Charlie Adler

I'm going to be at Comic-Con this weekend and I happened to score an interview with voice actor Charlie Adler. Now the interview is slotted to be due to him voicing Doctor Doom in the upcoming Marvel Super Hero Squad TV show as well as video game, but I figure there'll be some time to ask about questions spanning his entire career, so that's where you guys come in.

I want to know if you have anything in particular I should ask him about or maybe a character voice you'd love to hear (I'll be recording the interview if allowed). The interview is Saturday and I suddenly realize I should bring a laptop to mess with and check in now and again, so feel free to ask up till let's say Saturday at 8AM PST. I'll be bleary-eyed, but that'll give me enough time to figure out some questions of my own and pull any good ones you guys ask for.

I would like to know if there is any animosity or rivalory with Richard Horvitz? It seems those guys are always in competition for the same roles.

And personally, as I said in another thread, while Richard is excellent in Invader Zim and other shows, but I still think Charlie is better. As evident in what this interview is about, Charlie voicing Doctor Doom, Charlie Adler has had more diverse roles beyond the typical characters him and Richard Horvitz voice. But like the other poster said, that might get you in trouble.

If possible, ask Charlie what his favorite character or cartoon show he voiced for and why. I know he has tons of credits for his voice acting career, but there's always a possibility.

Thanks.

I'd like to know how he felt about his work at Klasky-Csupo. He voiced Ickis from AAHHH!!! Real Monsters, back when they were still making funny programs, but later did voice directing for their boring stuff.

I agree you should ask about him leaving Tiny Toons!

Also, maybe ask him about how one goes about getting into the voice acting business. I imagine it is something of an unusual field to get into and I'd be interested to know how he got in, and I imagine a lot of others would too!

And please share the interview with us! Can't wait to read it!

Okay, here are mine:

1) Which is tougher, voice acting or voice directing?

2) What have been some of your favorite voice characters?
(P.S. Have him answer this question as the voice(s) of the character(s).)

3) What famous voice actors have been your inspiration?

4) What famous voice actor, dead or alive, would you like to work with?

5) As a voice director, which VA's do you think were fun to work with, and which were total...pains?

6) Same as #5, as a voice actor.

7) Have you ever been asked to do voices or direct an anime?

Do these help any?:anime:

I've got some:

1. Did you enjoy playing/voicing the charcters you did?
2. There are plans for a Space Goofs movie I heard. When will that be released?
3. What was your favorite show to work on?
4. If you could bring back any show that you did, what would it be?
5. Any plans for the future?

That's it.

I'd like to know how he got to be four of the five main characters of Cow and Chicken myself, and if he ever felt weird giving a line of dialogue to himself.

Also, of all the characters he had ever played, which one was his favorite and which one did he hate the most.

One more. Ask what plays more into how he performed his characters, director input/character descriptions or visualization of the character as you see the designs?

That is all.

Didn't get to ask everything (sorry Tiny Toons fans), but I turned rather starstruck when speaking to him. He was very fun to interview thankfully and I have a rather humorous picture with him that he insisted on taking that I'll have to figure out if I want to post.

He did do his Cow voice though, which he says he still adores till this day.

Hopefully the TZ folks are able to let me post the interview to share with you guys, it was just so much fun and I was happy to talk to him.

That's awesome that you got to talk to him! It sounds like he was real nice, which is always great to hear. We threw a lot of questions at you, so of course you did not get to ask them all.

I hope you get to share the interview and picture soon! Nice work!
