We're cracking down with the potty training for my 26 month old daughter. She's shows every possible sign of being ready and one of the most common pieces of advice I've gotten is to commit to it with everything I have. Don't repeatedly start and then stop because she'll just get confused. Another common piece of advice I've gotten is to skip the pull-ups and go straight to panties, which we've done. I'll only use pull-ups when we're out or when she's asleep. We've just started the day before yesterday. I had introduced her to the potty and sat her on it a few times over the last few months so she would be familiar with it. I take her to the potty once an hour or so. I try to get her to sit there until she goes pee, but after only a few minutes she gets bored and starts to whine and cry to get off, even if I give her a book or something to play with. When I do take her off and put her panties back on she pees in them within a few minutes! I'm kinda frustrated because I'm not sure if we're making any progress or not. We're having more panty accidents than actual peeing in the toilet.
