Need Phone for Cingular (Grand Rapids, MI)

Hello-

Well, after some "HowardForums" searching I am still looking for the best phone option! I have a Motorola V551 that is getting a bit "ragged" so I want a new phone to replace it. I would like to try to stay at the $150 mark (probably won't get a "subsidized" unit, my current contract is done and I don't want to commit to two more years right now!)

Here's my biggest concerns:

** TOUGH!! - I have my phone on me most of the day at work and it gets bumped around quite a lot (not dropped, though)

** LOUD EARPIECE! - I work around loud sound equipment (concert audio) and often have to talk (scream) over music into my phone. This is the biggest downside to my V551

** FLIP-PHONES?? - I think I want to stay away from the "flippers", they tend to get hung up on things when I walk (squeeze) past and are a bit too thick to confortably fit in your pants pocket

** WEB BROWSER - The V551 is slower than poop browsing, but it does render pages pretty well. I use M$ Exxxchange for work e-mail so a phone that can connect via Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) is super-useful to me

** CONTACTS & CALENDAR SYNC?? - "Over-The-Air" Sync with M$ Exxxchange would be marvelous, I have a "MediaNet Unlimited" plan so I can connect easily and frequently

** BLUETOOTH - I have used the V551 as a "tether" (modem) for my laptop in emergencies when I am working out of town or on-site and it's been a lifesaver! It's slow, but when you NEED a .PDF file of a technical manual from the Mfg. website it's worth the wait opposed to a trip back to the site another day (or worse, getting "fired" by the client!)

I have been intrigued by the newer Motorola SLVR L7, anyone have some wisdom on that particular device relating to the above? I like Cingular, in my area it has GREAT coverage, Nextel/Sprint & Verizon subscribers seem to struggle to keep signal most of the time where I work.

Thanks in advance, HowardForums folks! This is by FAR the best mobile community out there!

Kind Regards,

C. Rosenberg
