Need opinions on X1a and 3G iPhone

I had my iphone for a couple of months now and i cant stand how slow it gets sometimes, like it takes about 10 seconds to load a text.

I got an offer to trade it for a sony x1a and was wondering if that would be any better?

My iphone is a 3G 16gb jailbroken and unlocked (im thinking this is why its so slow) but i need to have it unlocked to use it

Thanks

how hard would it be to get it to run smoothly?

Also is 6.5 possible for X1a? I know my buddy has it on his HTC but its not a complete version, but still better then the original one since its more finger friendly he says

if lag is your concern, i don't know if winmo is the way to go. as the poster above said, the phone has to be tweaked. if you're into that, as i am, go for it, but it is trial and error.

now... i currently have the x1a. typing this with it actually. while i love the phone... i'm in this section looking to upgrade to something else because no matter how "finger friendly" you make the screen, you'll notice it's kinda small to be used as a serious touch screen. so if u like the size of the iphone's screen, it would be a regression. the on screen keyboards are pathetic, no matter which custom one you have. i never use it.

does anyone have any good roms in mind that i could put on?

i wouldnt really use the on-screen keyboard when there is a perfectly good one underneather the phone lol

but how hard is it to put the roms on the phone??

there are alot of custom roms and its not too hard once you read the tutorials.

but custom roms usually have their bugs... so random things dont work... so its trial and error trying to find a rom that fits you

in terms of wm6.5....i find that the "Photon" EnergyROM is one of the better ROMs available for the X1

you can find a whole bunch on xda-developers' forums

i was under the same choice....and i chose the X1 mainly because of the ability to customize it with custom roms...nd the screen res is just amazing. Another benefit is the use of materials, as the X1 uses a decent amount of metal and soft touch plastic which gives a reassuring feel, as opposed to the glossy plastic on the iPhone 3G
