need info on steel fishing leaders?

The best thing to do is buy a complete kit. They sell them at Wal Mart for just a few bucks. It will come with the right size sleeves, swivels, etc. After you've made a few and get the hang of it you can buy wire and swivels in bulk to save money on them.

You may also want to try stainless steel wire. You simply wrap the wire around the swivel and the hook. It's easier and less expensive.
 
i am looking to get into making my own fishing leaders for inshore saltwater. around 20#-30#. whats the best swivel to use. also what size crimping sleeves do i need to use with this size wire?
