Need high-speed data for Powerbook on Baltic cruise...

My boss is taking a ten day Radisson cruise through the Baltic Island area starting in Stockholm (7/18) and ending in Copenhagen (7/29). He's an email junkie (excuse me - he relies heavily on his email communication), and has tasked me with finding and setting up a phone that he can use during the trip to give him internet access from his Powerbook G4 laptop (preferably via bluetooth, but a PCMCIA card will work as well).

I know that Europe is predominately GSM (and therefore GPRS, EDGE, etc...), but there also seems to be roaming agreements with Verizon, so EvDO seems like it might be an option.

He already has an EvDO card that he uses in the US, but Verizon can't tell me whether he would have any type of data coverage during his cruise. He is willing to purchase prepaid, sign up for a month or two of service, rent equipment, etc... whatever it takes to stay connected. On his last cruise, he rented a BeGAN satellite system, but it was pretty much worthless due to the ship's frequent course changes and its general movement in the water.

I've exhausted my skills with Google searching, and have spent hours on the phone with US carriers asking about international data coverage to no avail.

This forum has been extremely valueable to me in the past. I'm hoping that someone here has experience with data access on such a cruise that they are willing to share, and can point me to a Baltic cellular carrier that has good roaming agreements, a card or Bluetooth phone or card that will work well for him, and/or additional resources where I can get more information.

Thanks in advance,

Rick
