Need help

[Cubhouse]

Hi everyone. I've noticed lately a "chirp" coming from around the front wheel/ fork of my bike as I pass over small bumps, but I'm having a hard time isolating it. Has anyone experienced this or can anyone give me an idea of what it could be?

Could be just the brake pads. Apply a TINY bit of front brake to see if the noise changes.

Try a THIN smear of copper grease to the back of the pads (between the pad and piston) in theory this should stop any odd noises.

I've heard it too but to me it sounds like it''s coming from somewhere higher up. I thought it was coming from the tank area.

It could be the fuel tank. Next time squeeze the tank with your legs to see if the noise goes away.

I'm not sure about the C50's but M50's fuel tank sit on rubber puck mounts. Some have suggested to put some Vaseline, silicon spray or adhesive felt strips on the mounts to make noise go away.

I think the C50 tank is the same way. Check your headlight bezel too. Not sure about the 50, but my C90 headlight bezel rattles...gotta get around to fixing it, but it isnt hurting anything.
