Hi,

Think of a beautiful day that you had in the past. Not just any day, but a day when you were closing your eyes to sleep, you felt this day would never repeat again. What made you happy that day? How was the weather like?

Think of a day when you stepped out of your daily routine and did something different.

Write about such stuff!

All the Best!

So, I'm in university and I'm panicking already over an assignment for my english writing class. We are to write a memoir about ourselves, not an autobiography, but something that happened to us that I would think, is interesting for someone else to read. Now normally I would write something personal, such as what it was like growing up without a father, however, I'm an emotional/sensitive person and we have to read our writing aloud in groups for revision purposes... So, if you were in the same position, what would you write about? Would you just try to be brave and write something personal anyway?

I don't want to embarass myself by sobbing as I'm trying to read to these strangers. I'm hoping by your feedback, it will trigger memories of my own life. I don't want to make something up either, I want it to be a honest piece of writing. Thanks in advanced to any of your suggestions.
