I have to write a 2-3 page fantasy short story in danish class.
I have the basics. Yuppie Boy. He wears a white shirt, dress pants, nice shoes. He's looking for something. Everything in his life is going very fast. He is looking for something important in a superficial time. He is a yuppie (young urban professional) who has no time for family or anything pleasurable. He is a member of the upper middle class. In twenties or thirties. Not much for nature.
More for offices and trendy café's. Very work oriented. He often feels lost, uncertain, feverish and disoriented. A strange white cloud haunts him. He always looks behind his shoulder. He is paranoid. Uncertain of which way should he take in life. Work or love? It has to be written a bit like a children's story. Like H.C. Anderson. Since it's a fantasy he literally ends up swimming in problems.
The outcome has to be: He falls in love with a maiden, who takes all his problems away. (ex. her fine hair swallow the water which he is drowning in) He leaves his job and makes a living on making (insert something here) ... wigs.
How can I incorporate fantasy into this? (mild fantasy; ex. Talking animals, flying people, running shoes, clouds speaking)
I need a lot of metaphors.
