need help with setting up a fish tank?

so i decided to buy a 10 gallon fish tank from walmart so i could let my female betta have a lot of room to swim in. i recently decided that i want to decorate the tank (all it has now is blue gravel and a small boat) i decided to buy a led blue light for the tank and i placed a bid on ebay for 2 java moss, and 2 water sprite. i also wanted to to add at lest 5 more types of fish into the tank but im not sure how my betta will react to them and i also i have no ideas were to put the moss and water sprite, and on top of that the tank came with no hood so what should i do
this is my first tank
 
Female betta's are a lot more docile than the males, but I've only ever seen them in groups with other female Betta's (groups of 4 or more)
This is because they will fight it out to find out who will be the more dominant female, and she will lead the others. Less than 4 is not advisable as they will fight. Groups of 2 will continue to fight each other and groups of 3 could lead to 2 of them always picking on one.

For the plants and moss. Its entirely up to you. make a feature of the boat and surround it with plants, as long as she has somewhere to hide she's not going to mind =) hope this helps.
 
10 gallon tank is great for a beta ans some others

Fish that are agressive, like gouramis and cichlids, are not good betta fish they will fight.

They also get very nippy

I would not put guppys because of there tails the betta will get nippy

Fish that are small, calm, and peaceful good betta companions. Small tetras and rasboras, corydora catfish, ghost shrimp, small loaches... all of these are good companions.
 
5 more types?! you can only add up to 6 more fish in there.
you can put some cories(2-3), some danios (3) and maybe 1-2 african dwarf frogs.
otherwise your doin an ok job, get a lid!
