need help with nokia n80

Hey.. i'm new to this site.. plz help some1. I got a nokia n80 from UK and its unlocked. I live in USA and i have a cingular network. i need to change frequency so i can use my cingular sim-card with my nokia. i really appreciate ur help.. ty
 
hey guys.. i need really big help... my phone, nokia n80 when i bought it on ebay from england, it said it should work on all frequences and in all countries. but now it doesn't work on any of my simcards that i have. also, i contacted a guy who unlock phones but he said is won't work.
 
He does not need a 3G sim nor should does he need to let Cingular know what kind of phone he is using.

There are only a few things that could be happening.

1. Your phone is actually LOCKED, it will display either "enter subsidy unlock code" or "SIM Rejected". In that case have it unlocked.

2. Your SIM card is inactive, meaning it is the wrong sim or cingular does not have the correct sim card number registered on you account.

If you want more help tell us what message is being displayed when your sim is inserted.
 
Yea, if it says that then it isn't unlocked

The only reason that I mentioned the 3g sim is........think back...............way back.......remember when there was trouble with the 6682 and the non 3g sim.

There is a 99.9% chance that it isn't the 3g sim thing.....but doesn't hurt to have the new one....Cingular will give you one if you go to a corp store
 
hey guys.. thanks for reply but i still can't fix my phone. when i bought it it said it was unlocked.. i went to cingular store but the guy cound't do anything cuz my simcard is working on my other phone.. what should i do?
