Need help with Movie name.....

Hey all....
just wondering if anyone could help me at all, i know its gonna be a long shot. But there is this film i watched years ago in the early 90's and i have never ever heard of it since or maybe i just can't remember the name, well anyway here it goes:

well i think its a like sci-fi movie lol,,,,it had like these people in it and every time an areoplane was about to crash or somthing they would like freeze it in time (i think) and it would come into their demenision and they would go on board and put all the people to sleep or something (these people were all women i think) before the crash. But then they were running out of time and one of the women dropped one of their special gadgets and it got left in the plane and wen it crashed and the men were inspecting the wreckage they found this gadget and like a whole thing kicked off....lol

ok thats my best description from memory....i know its an extreme chance that anyone will even be able to make sense of what i am rambling on about....but its been bugging me for pure ages and i have always wanted to know..lol..so i would be greatful if anyone could help me...

Michael Anderson's "Millennium", based on John Varley's story "Air Raid" with Cheryl Ladd as Louise Baltimore and Kris Kristofferson trying to make sense of it all.
Almost makes up for Anderson's dire version of "Logan's Run". . . . almost.:)

You're welcome. It's one of my (many) guilty pleasures.
John Varley expanded his original tale into a novel called Millennium which reaRAB a lot better than it plays on screen in Michael Anderson's rather plodding movie.
It's still an entertaining movie though. Hasn't been on tv for ages.:)
