i need to answer these for a class...

These words follow a logical progression:

SPHINX

TALION

Which of these could be next?

AUREOLE
SPROUT
IODINE
PROTON

if CLARISSE is BRUNO's sister,
if MAUD is CHRISTOPHER's sister,

then who is HAMILTON's sister ------

IRENE, CLAIRE, SUE, or PEGGY?

AUREOLE is next.

It goes from one syllable to two syllables to three syllables. A four syllable word is next.

I'd say SUE is the answer for the second riddle as the first one again is 2 2-syllable names, the second is 2 2-syllable names. The third is a one-syllable and a three-syllable pairing. So I'd assume the last, being a 3-syllable name is paired with a 1-syllable name, the only one on the list is Sue.
