I have a 2003 Ford F350 PowerStroke diesel extended cab. Every time i start it it has to warm up for 5-10 mins before i can drive it without it dying. This behavior isnt normal, it just started to happen about 3 weeks ago. If i try to start it and immediately drive it will either die, or the engines RPMs will go down to about 500-800, this happens until the car "warms up" Before this happened i could start it and immediately drive with no problem. My friend told me it could be the cam positioning sensor, but i dont want to buy that part until im sure thats what the problem is.
