Hey all. I'm preparing for an Alg 2 test tomorrow. I'm confused as to many of these concepts.
Here are sample problems I'll need to know:
Find the equations of the following lines.
1. Parallel to 2x+3y= 12 and through (7, -2)
2. Perpendicular to the line generated by (-2, 4) and (1, -2) passing through (-9, 2).
3. Through points (-2, 5); (-2, -4)
Circles
4. State the center and radius of the following circle: x^2+ y^2 + 4.2x - 1.9y - 4 = 0
5.Find the equation of a circle with endpoints of a diameter located at (-8, 2) and (2, 6)
Parabola:
6. Focus is (-2, 5) and the directrix is y= 3
If someone can solve these examples, or a example, it would be greatly appreciated! Basically, I've been sick for quite a while and missed out on quite a few lessons. :/
