need help with a good camping site, anywhere in the US?

Ok, I need to find a good camping site, im willing to drive really far. I live in north carolina. The site i want i would like to include the following: I would like to be right on a lake and or river/stream, needs to be in the woods don't want to be close to the highway, I've never seen a waterfall so i thought it would be cool to camp near one, needs to be some what close to civilization such as a general store or gas station. If you have any suggestions please help me i need to know pretty soon. THANKS FOR THE HELP
 
Isaac Creek Campground near Monroeville, Alabama is great
It's on the Alabama River next to the Claiborne lock and dam. That's the closest thing to a waterfall that there is, but the fishing is great. Campground includes sites with docks by the creek, two clean bathhouses, basketball court, electrical and water hookups. It's about 8 miles to the nearest store with gas and fishing bait, and about a thirty min. drive into town where there is a Walmart, Burger King, etc. Pretty far drive from North Carolina, but it is great I just camped there last week for 4 days and caught 117 catfish on trotlines, 23 white perch, and a few bass, so if you like to fish or just get away it is well worth the drive.
