i just bought a new beta fish. and i want to put hm in his bowl
i heard that when you get a new fish that you are supposed to put them in the water that they came in and let them sit there for a little bit?

is this true
i already filled up his bowl with room temperature water and used that water cleaning shit for fish and now i put him in a bag with the same water he came in and let him sit in there

what should i do next?

It should take about ten to twenty minutes for the water temperatures to even out, then you can release him. You should consider a real tank for the beta, though, they are generally more happy in a bigger environment. They can survive in bowls, but will have more health problems and require a lot more cleaning on your part - bowls don't allow for filtration and their temperature stays cooler and changes rapidly. You will have to clean the bowl every two or three days to keep it clean, and there is no way to keep the temperature in such a small area constant and warm.

just take the beta fish out and put him in the bowl. hes gonna live dont worry. make sure that you dont over feed because he might die if you over feed. just only give them 4 pellets a day. because the fish stomach is as big as its eye ball. and put some rocks and some places for it to hide at night. they love hiding.

you should open the bag and let it sit for fifteen minutes then slowly add the water from your tank into the bag until it is about fifty percent the water from the tank then net him out and put him in the tank
