Need Help Planning Backpacking Trip through Western Europe!?

Hey guys me and 3 friends are beginning to plan our Backpacking trip fro this upcoming summer. Here is what I have for our Itinerary so far.
Time: 1month (31 days on the ground)
The amount of time spent in each place isnt set yet.

Arrive in Paris --- To Venice via night train-->
Venice --- To Rome via night train-->
Rome ---- To Florence via train --->
Florence with (day trip to pisa) ---> Somewhere is southern france.

*** Don't know where to go in southern france that is acessable from florence by train.

Barcelona ---- To Ibiza by ferry-->
Ibiza ---- To valencia by ferry--- >
To Grannada by train ---->
Grannada to Madrid by train
Night train from Madrid to Lisbon

So to sum it up.

France
Venice
Rome
Florence (day trip to pisa)
Somewhere along french coast
Barcelona
Ibiza
Grannada
Madrid
Maybe somewhere else in southern spain?
Lisbon
(Algrave ?)


So what do you guys think? Any ideas? Any suggestions on where else to go?
We will be buy a eurail pass and with be staying in Youth Hostels along the way. ( flying from Vancouver,BC to Paris

How much do you think it would cost and what should be our budget? ( We are University Students just fyi)
