Need help placing music on Virgin Mobile Shuttle - Music will not play in media player?

I would really appreciate help with placing music on the Virgin Mobile Shuttle phone. I tried to format Micro SD card and place music on it via my Laptop (Vista) but no such luck getting the phone to recognize music on card. Please Help
