I just got a 2004 Dodge Dakota Crew Cab, and I want to add two subs and an decent amp. I am looking at alpine stuff right now but I have no idea how good some of this stuff is. I would like to get to two 12in subs, and an amp that is somewhat powerful. So what I really need is what equipment is good and works well for the price? I would prefer to spend somewhere are the $500 range with some leeway. And I am 17 so I like a LOT of bass and that it sounds good. Thanks in advance.

Kicker products are the best in my opinion. If you can manage to install it yourself, then you'll end up saving 50 bucks. Remember that there is more to installing a system than just the amp and subs. If i remember, wiring kits can be expensive too( mine was around 70 - 80 $$). Anyway shop around online and you should be able to get a nice set up marked waaayyy down. Again Kicker is good. Alpine isn't bad. Polk, Rockford Fosgate, and JBL are all good. Stay away from Sony and Pioneer (I've never had bad experiences with them, but I've heard bad things)
