Need help organizing music

Hey everyone..

I have about 60 gigs of music, and have always had it organized (broadly) by genre in separate folders.
They are:
Rock
Indie
Spanish
Bossa Nova
Classical
Hip Hop
Older (classic rock, etc.)
Electronic
Jazz and Blues
and Pop

I recently had the new 80 gig ipod crap out and am thinking about redoing it all, because everytime I add new music now it is a pain in the ass finding the album cover through media monkey, adding it to the genre folder, searching for it again, then adding it to itunes.

I was considering letting Itunes do the automatic organization and sync thing. Is it worth it? I want to occasionally update the lyrics to songs I listen to a lot, and the current way isn't the easiest. I had the ipod not set to auto-sync, but to manual.

Thanks!

I keep all my music in a folder with the artist/band name. Inside it's divided up in to albums. I then keep them in folders the size of a DVD for backing up.

I just let Window Media scan all the music and put it in its library. I can search by keyworRAB, artists, albums, genre, etc.

Of course I heard the newest WMP sucks.

i think itunes sucks at organizing music...

why not just organize it on your own and separate it out by artist and album? it'll take a while but it's much better in my opinion

all of mine is done alphebetically.

folders #-Z > band > album > songs

it makes it easy to find stuff. i've got 352 gigs done that way and have no problem finding stuff.

i also use the media library in winamp sometimes if i want to find a specific album to listen to.
