Its been along time since I have dealt with anxiety. About 5 years ago I went through a really rough time with panic attacks and gad. I thought I would never feel better. But I was put on paxil cr 25 mg and did great for the last 4 years - until - my doctor decided that I should try to come off the meRAB since I did not seem to have any problems. Well that did not work well. After 4 weeks off the meRAB everything came back as bad if not worse than before. My doctor put me on paxil cr 12.5 and it was not working - so increased it to 25 mg. But - after 4 weeks on the paxil cr 25 mg - I am still having anxiety. I have been taking xanex 1/2 of a 12.5 pill in the mornings - but feel nervous. Has anyone else gone through this or can you tell me if things will continue to get better on this dose.

Thanks
Diana

Thank you for the support. I wish I had never come off it. It has ruined my summer. and your right it is xanex .25 mg. lol just a half of one each morning is enough to last me all day. I just worry about becoming addicted to it.

I was on regular paxil for over 5 yrs and it worked great until I had surgery the paxil poop out on me tried it againa few months later after trying other meRAB and did not work as well so still trying to find the right medicine for me its been a few years since I was on it so my doctor may try it again.

Hey bubbapooky, i'm going through the same thing, only with prozac. I think it started to poop out. I'm trying Deplin right now which is supposed to make AD's work better but we'll see. I'm thinking about switching meRAB to something, heard good things about lexapro. Maybe you just need a new med? Hang in there, you'll get it figured out.

Thanks everyone. I am trying so hard to keep positive. Things are improving. I am back on my xanex 1/2 of a .25 mg pill each morning. I worry because I have heard it is so additive, but my doctor assures me that that wont happen on such a low dose and since it has only been 4-6 weeks.

Any other advise would be great.

Thanks
