I want to write an argumentative essay about the value of education.
My actual claim is that 1. Education is very valuable/important, especially because 2. the education of a person doesn't just affect him(positively) but the whole mankind as well.
So far my thesis statement looks like this, but I am not really happy with it, it's my first assignment anyway: "Education is so valuable, because it's not just improving the whole life of the individual, it is furthermore causing a causal chain that has an impact on the collective."
I know it's a strong statement and probably hard to find enough evidence to be very convincing, but that's my problem, I'd just like some advice or opinion on the thesis. Would you like to read the essay, or are you all ready bored?
