Need help on how to replace the center break light on a 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo?

go in the trunk and the studs hang down take the 2 nuts off then pull it out throught the top. then if I rember right there are a few screws on the lamp case itself and it will seperate

Hi all,

I need help with some car aficionados on how to replace that center break light on my 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo. I have been baffled for hours on how to take it apart but no luck. Any detailed step by step instructions will be highly appreciated. The center break light meaning the one by the rear windshield defroster. Thank you for all your help and happy Holidays.
